Lynne Renoir grew up within a strict, deeply traditional Christian environment. For five decades she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her religion, yet she never felt the kind of inner transformation that believers are promised. She struggled to understand why others—even people of different faiths or no faith at all—seemed to experience profound change while she did not.
This question drove her toward academic study. She first earned a Master’s degree in Psychology and later completed a PhD in Philosophy. Alongside her formal education, she became increasingly fascinated with quantum theory, immersing herself in the work of physicists and cosmologists who write for general readers. Her exploration of these fields gradually led her to conclude that conventional Christianity was no longer the right path for her. What ultimately reshaped her life was recognizing a sense of unity with all existence.
Renoir has written two books: God Interrogated: Reinterpreting the Divine (scheduled for release in March 2023) and a memoir titled Leaving Faith, Finding Meaning—A Preacher’s Daughter’s Search for God. Her Master’s thesis, which focused on male victims of abuse by female partners, has also been made available in digital form for all major e-reading platforms, including Kindle.
